Natural Resources Wales is offering a 3-month PhD placement to review how monitoring is currently carried out across Wales’ National Parks and National Landscapes, supporting delivery of the 30 by 30 biodiversity target. This placement is open to registered PhD students with approval from their academic supervisor. You’ll work with NRW, National Park Authorities and National Landscape teams to map existing monitoring activity, assess how evidence is used to understand site condition (SSSIs), and identify opportunities for more coordinated, efficient monitoring.
