During the talk we will explore the fascinating world of the Eurasian beaver. We will look at the ecology and behaviour of beavers, the history of beavers in Wales and why we want to reintroduce them, followed by an update on what is happening in Wales.
About the Speaker
Alicia is the Welsh Beaver Project Officer for North Wales Wildlife Trust. The Welsh Beaver Project led by North Wales Wildlife Trust on behalf of all five Wildlife Trusts in Wales have been investigating the feasibility of the reintroduction of beavers to Wales for many years and the project is now focused on the re-establishment of beavers in Wales. Alicia has also worked with beavers and other exciting species, such as wildcats, pine martens and red squirrels in Scotland.
