The European Scientific Advice Mechanism (Scientific Advice Mechanism) provides independent scientific evidence and policy recommendations to the European Commission. We will explain how the Mechanism works and the roles played by organisations based in Wales. We will also highlight policy impacts, using examples from environmental policymaking (Food from the Oceans, Microplastics, Biodegradable Plastics and Solar Radiation Modification).
