Pooja will present her research on the prevalence and persistence of antifungal resistance genes and fungal pathogens in the environment.

About the Speaker

Pooja is pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Science at Bangor University, where she explores the presence of antifungal-resistant genes within the wastewater released from communities and its impact on the environment and public health. Her research interests include wastewater analysis, bioinformatics, molecular biology, and epidemiology. She holds a Master’s degree in Molecular Medicine and a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering
