In Wales and beyond, the natural functioning (‘health’) of many rivers is severely compromised by engineering modifications, flow (mis)management, catchment land-use changes, and climate variability.  In response to escalating demands on river resources, can we use creative approaches to create spaces for river engagement and forge more positive societal relationships with rivers?
